We look forward to welcoming you to our small luxury family estate in the heart of Spitz an der Donau, in the centre of the Wachau UNESCO World Heritage Area. In the early days it was used as a monastery vineyard and in the Baroque period it was converted into an estate which has now been in the family for seven generations.
With eight cozy, fully equipped apartments and premium double bedrooms and a spacious sun terrace with a wonderful view, the house is a perfect blend of modern comfort and history. Our quiet, park-like garden allows you to unwind and relax under old fruit trees.
Wine and food lovers will enjoy the many cosy wine taverns and charming restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The estate is also an ideal starting point for the famous World Heritage Trail ‘Welterbesteig’, the popular Danube cycle path and for excursions to numerous, nearby cultural sites as well as several World class golf courses.

Both share common ancestors from the estate in Spitz , who have helped shape the further development of viticulture and noble fruit growing in the Wachau World Heritage Site since the 17th century. The exclusively manual cultivation of the steep vineyards with their dry stone walls, which characterise the landscape, 100% manual harvesting, the special microclimate of the Danube valley, the mineral primary rock soil and gentle processing mean wines of fresh, fruity finesse and quality.
