Energy Efficiency<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

We regularly invest in more efficient building technology and the reduction of CO2<\/sub> emissions. Insulated windows and thermal insulation contribute to this, as does a new heating system. Hot water is now obtained from a solar system, wood from our own forest and natural gas ensure pleasant room temperatures during the transition periods. Our laundry is naturally dried by sun and wind.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regional Purchasing<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

We want to act as part of the regional economic cycle and therefore give preference to Wachauer suppliers, such as buying local wines, Wachauer Laberln bread from the traditional Schmidl bakery in D\u00fcrnstein and fruit juices from Obsthof Reisinger on the Jauerling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only local craftsmen are contracted for renovation work.<\/span><\/p>\n
