The hiking trails on both sides of the Wachau Danube Valley are linked to form a network known as the “World Heritage Trail<\/a>“.<\/span><\/p>\n

The UNESCO World Heritage Trail is right on the hotel’s doorstep and leads you through picturesque wine-growing villages, pretty Renaissance towns, hollow tree-covered paths and sunny wine estates, always with a view of the Danube valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Trail is accessible to all fitness levels and family members with return journeys to the hotel possible using Wachau public transport; either by bus, ship or train. This particular trail was shortlisted as one of the “best trails of Austria”. In addition, there are numerous other circular hikes, such as the Spitzer Wine Trail, which starts directly at our house and leads through the most famous wine terraces of the Wachau (a loop takes just 1.5 hours).<\/span><\/p>\n
